Kaliakra cape

Kaliakra cape is one of the most beautiful places along the Bulgarian sea coast. Kaliakra is proclaimed for protected territory because of its enormous beauty – it is a unique combination of steep cliffs and crystal clear sea waters. The region is famous and for the dolphins, the great diversity of sea birds, which nest at the cliffs. The big opulence of the flora and the fauna in the region of Kaliakra cape is due mostly to the ecologically clean zone, untouched by human activity and because of this reason it has preserved its original beauty. Stretching over more than two kilometers at Black Sea, Kaliakra is famous as the longest cape at the Balkan Peninsula. Kaliakra cape is located at 72 km in north direction from Varna and only at 12 km from the small town Kavarna.
